Computers maken dom.
Onderzoek wijst uit dat mijn vader gelijk had toen hij het in de Commodore 64-tijd altijd smalend had over 'die domme computerspelletjes':

By contrast, children with access to 500 books in their homes performed better. The negative correlation, the researchers explain, is because children with computers neglect their homework more.
The Royal Society's quantative approach mirrors concerned raised by qualitative analysis of technology in education. Children are now awash with "facts", but don't know what to do with them.
Schoolchildren are developing a "problem-solving deficit disorder", and losing the ability to analyze. A better way, experts insist, is to encourage creativity. And the best remedy for this is to turn off the computer and stimulate childrens' imaginations."

11:00 p.m.Die 500+ boeken hebben we ook dus dat het toch nog goed is gekomen hebben we te danken aan die compensatie, al heeft mijn destijdse RPG verslaving natuurlijk wel 2 jaar van mijn middelbare school gekost.

Ha! Tsja, eerlijk gezegd was de C64 wel een factor in de matige schoolinteresse. Maar ja inderdaad de compensatie van die 500 boeken heh? :)

Snap het alleen niet zo, 'huiswerk' is toch feitjes stampen? Belachelijke en compleet achterhaalde uitvinding, kan je het lesmateriaal niet binnen schooltijd uitvoeren doe je je werk gewoon niet goed als instelling. [ik ga maar weer, want als ik eenmaal begin...pfff]
